I have had some enlightening moments for the past 2 months. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet an old friend of mine and the experience, to say the least, is triggering. What have I learned in this experience?
No one can help you, unless you want to be helped. You cannot get someone to do what you want them to, but you can only get them to do what they want.
Whatever you want to do something, there will always be some compelling force which made you not able to achieve the intended results.
But what’s most important thing I’ve learned? It’s that life is short and you need to know what you want to have at the end of your life, because life is so short, if you don’t know what you want, no one else will be able to figure it for you.
Secondly, you need to draw a timeline of what you want to get, when you have confirmed what you want. Then draw a timeline and create the milestones for when you desire to get those items for yourself. Commit to the plan. If you say, you don’t know how to get those, talk to someone who has attained those goals and seek how they achieved those.
At the end, our life is a project, because we will all be gone one day. What do you want to leave behind for others? For myself, I am a christian and understand that our lives on this earth are temporary and we shall all pass. We will only be able to leave as much to others what they think of us.
My friend, be kind to each others and listen and be passionate more. Perhaps, that is what we could do for others and yourself.
